Choosing the Right Router Bits for Wood and Plastics
I'm currently working on a CNC project that involves both wood and plastic materials, and I'm looking for advice on selecting the best router bits for precise and clean cuts. Are there specific types of bits that work better for different materials? Also, any recommendations on feeds and speeds to avoid chipping or melting issues?

Re: Choosing the Right Router Bits for Wood and Plastics
the question is too general. there are a huge number of plastics, as well as different types of wood.
more or less good work spiral single-pass milling cutters for aluminum. due to polishing they remove plastic chips well. but they are also more expensive than milling cutters for wood.
it is also desirable to have at least some kind of coolant for plastic.
but specific milling cutters and cutting parameters must be selected for a specific material and machine.
